After a made basket player A-1,who is inbounds, grabs the ball and passes it to teammate A-2 who is completely out of bounds.A-2 bats the ball back to A-1. Is this legal inbounding of the ball?

Would it make any difference(after a made hoop) if A-1 stood out of bounds, passed it to A-2 (who is completely out of bounds)and it was batted inbounds to A-3.

Both are legal throw-ins.

NFHS rule 7-5-7 is the relevant rules citation.

The throw-in pass may legally be a bat of the ball by a player who is OOB.

RULE 4
SECTION 31 PASS
A pass is movement of the ball caused by a player who throws, bats or rolls the ball to another player.

RULE 7
SECTION 6 THROW-IN ADMINISTRATION
ART. 1 . . . The throw-in starts when the ball is at the disposal of a player of the team entitled to the throw-in. The thrower shall release the ball on a pass directly into the court, except as in 7-5-7, within five seconds after the throw-in starts. ...

The ball just can't be kicked! :)

Not true.

There's an exception in the rules covering penguins named Tweety.

I think.
