I haven't received my 2005-06 rules book yet, but I heard there a few new rules. Can someone give me a brief description of the new rules? I am doing a Christian School pre-season tournament so I need to know about the new rules.

I've been told that one concerns team player control fouls and one is regarding a player leaving the playing floor.

Any help would be appreciated.

The major rule change for this year involves offensive players who do not shower prior to the game, and therefore remain offensive for the entire game. The penalty is to have a sponge bath administered by Bobby Knight and recorded to go on the internet.

OK - enough of that. The two major changes are that no free throws will be shot on any offensive foul, not just player control fouls - and that instead of going to the AP arrow on double fouls, you use POI (Point Of Interruption). That's the short version. Check the NF website for the convoluted version. And, yes - there's some nonsense about a player leaving the floor while taking off his jersey - or something like that.

(And I didn't see any sponge-bath videos. Whew.)

I can sell you some. Please indicate a preference for with or without the player wearing fishnets.

OK- I'll go back on my meds now.

Thanks rainmaker. I really never leave; I just seldom post. I can't begin to tell you how invaluable this forum has been to me over the past few years.

God Bless.
