Several Official Forum Basketball members helped me to develop this list over the past few weeks: Jurassic Referee, Camron Rust, Mark Padgett, Nevadaref, Mark Dexter, Dan ref, mdray, Jimgolf, and elecref. Hartsy, whose “Rules Myths” thread back in August, gave me the idea to post my list on the Official Forum Basketball and seek input from Forum members.

Wow - great list (and most apply to FIBA as well!).

One that I have had a lot recently - a playing driving to the basket extends their arms to shoot the ball - and causes contact with a defender that has their arms straight up. Obviously no foul - but players and coaches complain that "the refs aren't protecting the shooter". Has been really getting on my nerves lately.
