We often hear from various groups of people - coaches, officials, adminsitrators, media, etc. - that "sportsmanship" is on the decline. This then leads to discussion of what to do/how to fix the problem.

The only way that sportsmanship will ever to improved is by people in positions of authority to enforce the rules/codes of conduct in place. How will it ever get any better if people (any of the groups listed above) sit idly by and do nothing? You can't complain about the situation getting worse and then not hold those accountable for their actions.

Of course you should report it - whether you are an official working the game, parent of a participant, or general spectator. Contact the coach, the school adminstration, or the officials at the state level. You should feel a responsibility to be a part of the solution. If you do nothing - then you are essentially a part of the problem.
