Are there any differences in back court violations between High School & College (men or women)?

In college the throw-in team gains control when the ball is handed to them. If the rules are the same as high school then this would mean that a pass to the front court, deflected off the offensive player and recovered in the back court would be a violation. Is there an exception to this in college or is this a back court violaion?

Yes, there is an exception to the back court rule in NCAA, it's not a backcourt violation to pass or tip from FC to BC on a throw-in.
