Mark, you might also ask why Syracuse and Rochester franchises folded. I believe Syracuse franchise moved to another city. Not sure about Rochester. I know back in those days they had a regional draft. East coast players could only be drafted by East coast teams. Best players were generally in the East. All of that has changed. Also snow-ins at Syracuse and Rochester must have become a drag for the teams and fans. Thoughts?
Syracuse moved to Philly and became the 76ers. Rochester moved to Cincinnati.
