Sources to purchase group Liability Insurance ?

Fellow officials,

I need your assistance.

I just got a notification of cancellation/non renewal
of liability insurance for my "group" of officials
from Chubb Custom Insurance of New York, NY. through their
group in Wheaton, Illinois.(effective 7/1/05)

Reason: "Does not meet underwriting criteria".

I have had this policy for two years and have not
made any changes nor have we filed any claims.

I am located in San Diego, CA.

Any suggestions for a new carrier would be appreciated.

If you google "sports liability insurance", you'll get a pile of hits. NASO has insurance too,afaik.

NASO ON has group for associations and for officers/directors. ON is an organization of local groups. Membership is $99 a year, the insurance is extra. Sorry, don't know the cost. You got a lot of other stuff by joining ON.

FED provides inisurance throuhg Bollinger (or something like that) -- probably some info on theFED web-site

Your insurance may have been dropped if your organization is not an incorporated, not-for-profit entity. If you are not incorporated, you may also have difficulty in obtaining a new carrier. Your broker should be able to explain why your organization did not meet Chubb's underwriting criteria.
