Wondering if anyone can recommend some good patent leather shoes. Used OC Shoes for one season and plastic pieces all started falling apart, so just went back to my first season's NB609's with Shape-Up Shine. Remember, criteria is comfort and performance above appearance! :)

I picked up some Addidas Superstar Featherlites (I think that's the last part of the name, I'll repost the name when I go home and look). They are a combination of patent and regular black and pretty sharp looking. I found them on clearance at a Famous Footwear after looking for them all season so they were only $40. I also picked up some Addidas mids that were all black patent leather. I don't know the name of the style off hand, but I'll take a look when I get home. These have a better "look", but I like the lows because your pants don't get hung up on them.

The Reebok "The Ref" shoes are the best shoes I've had since the Air Max 95's. Feel great and look great, too.

Converse Whistle shoes which may have been discontinued. They have held up in every way through 2 seasons.

The Reebok "The Ref" isn't bad if you HAVE TO have patent leather.
Add some quality insoles to whatever you get and carry some powder in your bag because your feet will sweat in those plastic bags. |
patent leather
used REEBOK "the ref" this year and loved them...my feet sweat no matter what i wear, so that really didn't bother me...i did put in some dr. soles inserts and they were great all year long!!! They have holes there for breathing but they are covered up, so i recommend taking a pin and poking them out, to give you some breathe ability, still isn't as good as other leather shoes, but they look great and felt great on the court!! will use them again next year unless something better comes out!
