Watching the Spurs vs. Nuggets. Announcer starts spouting off about people who claim 'the hand is part of the ball' because in his opinion, the hand is a part of the arm. Isn't there actually a place in the rulebook where it specifies that the hand IS a part of the ball?

10-6-1 contacting the hand while on the ball is nothing if incidental to playing the ball.

Nobody but we the striped ones understands this no-call.

Everyone in the gym hears the slap, coach gets up and want to know why no whistle. I usually ask him; "coach, did I miss something, did he get him on the hand there?" Coach says "yes", and I respond with: "oh, I saw that, I thought you were up because I missed something."

I love that deer-in-the-headlights-look.

I saw this as well and just shook my head in disbelief.

I also love how the announcers have started created faux titles for positions on the floor -- i.e. the lead has been called "the baseline official", center called "the side official" and and the closest they've gotten to the correct is calling the trail "the rear official" or the "Back official"

Sorta like the head announcer and the tail announcer?
