I am a pretty tall, skinny dude, and the way that my shirts have been blousing is driving me nuts. As a result, I am going to get my shirts tailored. I know a lot of people do this, so I am asking those people. . .any advice or suggestions?

Touchee, Chris. I guess I should have used "reasonably." As an English major, I should know better.

I had mine done
and I love it. I don't know how my tailor did it, but I think it looks really good.

Your profile says you are in VA. If you are close to Quantico/Fredericksburg, go to any tailor shop and have them do the alterations.

I have seen me

Until my chest started to change places with my waist, I wore a shirt from Honigs that was tapered. You ordered it by your suit coat size. I haven't seen them listed in the catolog for the last year or so. There may be another company that carries them.
The next best thing I have found is the flex-belt. I have also seen some of the military folks use a garter type arrangement that attaches to the top of the socks and runs up the leg to the bottom of the shirt. I did enjoy the tapered shirt when I could wear them. |
I'm kinda in the same boat and have had success with Honig's Tall shirts. I used to have to buy a larger size just to make sure it would be long enough but with the discovery of the tall shirts I'm able to order the correct size and not have to worry about wearing a tent.
