RUBIERA Does any one know how much does the AAU tournement pay to the referee? I know It may change from state to state but I would like to know more or less what the pay is. Reyes
ChuckElias It varies from tournament to tournament. We run a lot of AAU tournaments in this area. And the pay one weekend my be $30 a game and the the next weekend it's $22. It just depends on who organizes the event.
ChrisSportsFan I've been paid $20 and $25 per game so far this weekend with games in 3 different tourneys. I ran into a buddy who was paid $40 per for games yesterday morining.....lucky him!
BayStateRef I got $35/game for a Girls Tourney two weeks ago. That is fairly common in this part of Mass. -- although I have been paid a bit less and a bit more. [Edited by baystateref on Apr 18th, 2005 at 02:14 PM]

proref27 oh c'mon,,,your telling me you do 3-person for the younger age groups say a 9 and under team.
Mark Dexter Originally posted by proref27 oh c'mon,,,your telling me you do 3-person for the younger age groups say a 9 and under team. No - that's when they use 3-Chuck crews, so the players and the refs are about the same height. 😛

It's pretty much NF. No need to confuse things by trying to use different floor coverages, etc. We go with what we're familiar with.
lrpalmer3 The next time I see 3-man for AAU will also be my first. I'm in Columbus, OH and we make $20-$25 per.
