ChuckElias I had a partner who used it this season. It sounded pretty much like a Fox 40. Slightly different pitch, but essentially the same. This official is also a FIBA official, for what that's worth.

As I stated earlier, I would have a hard time giving up the Fox40. It'd probably take a really really really good reason and some cash. 😉 (LOL)
Snake~eyes Welll....interesting description.... Hand grip referee whistle. Three different tones, no blowing required. Complete with battery. ...

Back In The Saddle I sometimes work in a place that has several adjacent courts going at the same time. After doing a little research on this topic, I think I'm going to start using a Pearl when I do those games so that my partner and the players recognize my whistle from the ones on the surrounding courts.
proref27 I saw one a guy had at Coast to Coast in Vegas last summer. It is a little bigger and had a different sound. Those who like it like it for the different sound.
FJM Thanks to all of you for your replies ! I send you a link to see this whistle, to Molten Japan. http://www.molten.co.jp/sports/product/equipment/whistle/wdfpbk/index.html One of my friend sent me one's, and i like it for the different and more powerful sound it produces.
