Thumbs up

I don't know who will win.

It could be close or a blowout, with either team winning either way.

I simply know that the Heels have had a great season, win or lose. Either way, I'll still have my Heels cap on tomorrow.

I like how you covered all the bases there BktBallRef, you can't be wrong. Quite the politican.

At the start of the tournament I had Oklahoma State beating Illinois and North Carolina winning it all, but I think I might now have to say Illinois will win, even though North Carolina is favored.

You're really going out on a limb here. Are you sure you don't want to add "the game might get cancelled due to an outbreak of malaria" to make sure you don't miss every possibility?

Nah, I just honestly don't know how this one will play out. I felt Carolina get to the Final Four and would beat MSU. But I really haven't watched Illnois play, so I'm not sure how they will match up. Listening to all the hype, no one else seems to either. Lots of guessing going on.

Forced to pick a winner, I'd probably pick Illnois.

I hope I'm wrong.

Halftime 40-27, Carolina.

Few things:

-Loose ball, brown falls to the floor, may gets the ball, trips over Brown. Traveling on May - Good call!

-Manuel making some silly fouls, as was the first foul on Felton.

-Shot clock violation by Illnois with 3.9 seconds to go in the half. The ball is beyond the 3 point arc at the top of the key when the clock expires. Why was the throw-in from the baseline?

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Peace

I noticed that, too. But my guess, without seeing the replay, is that the kid's foot was on or inside the FT cirlce when the clock went off.

BTW, I picked UNC in all my brackets, and I'm sticking with them.

That could have been the reason. I am sure this will be talked about. That is a big decision. North Carolina had to go the entire length of the court in a few seconds to end the half.

Peace

Just took a look, Chuck. His foot was a close to the arc as teh UK shooter that hit the 3 against MSU.

Honestly, I think they just lost track of it when they looked at the monitor for a possible clock reset.

No big deal.

How about the no call on May's layup? Charge or flop?

Shot clock violation: Throwin should have been on sideline.
