Looks like I may need to have this repaired. MRI today. Anyone else have the surgery before to clean their knee out?
Hopefully the recovery is quick as I have already signed up for several camps. |
Certainly never had it, however I wish you the best of luck with it and hope you have a quick recovery.

Same here :) Good luck, and wish you a speedy recovery.

That's a quick recovery. Hope it all goes well. Please let us know.

Had my left knee done in March 2003, no problems. Had right knee done in June 2004. No problems. Played golf on Sunday after surgery on Wednesday last year. I am 51 so it was not the miracle of youth healing me. You'll be fine.

Had my Right knee done in 2002, it was fast and simple procedure. I had some minor complications but was back in a week. I need my left knee done as well but the docs won't go in until it becomes more disabling (where is the logic there I know). If it is not done then be prepared for continuous aches and pain.
Good Luck and fast recovery. |
God bless you in your recovery.

Torn Meniscus
Wasn't Torn Meniscus the starting center on the Greek Olympic hoops team ?
|
You're thinking of Tom Meschery.........(you're old if you remember him)
|
Had my torn medial and lateral Meniscus scoped last year. Doctor said I couldn't hurt the knee by walking on it right away - so I walked approximately 15 feet from the wheel chair to the car.
I even got movies. Looks like a little alien creature eating away inside at my knee. Back on the court in six weeks - could have gone sooner but I wanted to be sure. |
Mike,
Had my left knee done four years ago. Tore the meniscus somehow in the first ten minutes of a two game soccer double header. I was stupid enough to go ahead and work the centers for both games. The next day I had 32cc of fluid drained off and spent some time on crutches. I had surgery about a month later - both sides of the knee. It wasn't too bad. I used the Cyrocuff religiously and kept it elevated. I also did EVERYTHING the physcial therapists told me too. I was refereeing the center of a high school soccer game 30 days to the day from surgery. I'm afaraid that you will notice a sharp increase in arthritis in that knee within two years, though. That's the downside of the surgery. I wear a Futuro Sport neoprene sleeve knee brace on both knees to keep them warm during every game - even volleyball. That helps A LOT! I sometimes use the cyrocuff after games, too. Also, make sure your shoes are very well padded next fall. I have found the Reebok Dura DMX Walkers to be the best for me. Will pray things go well for you. Rev |
