I think it's a 2.

ref18 Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:20pm

I agree

johnnyrao Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:21pm

I think it's 2 but I don't know if it's conclusive.

blindzebra Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:22pm

I said a two live and I'm sticking with it.

johnnyrao Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:22pm

I changed my mind on the blow up. It's a three (I think).

JugglingReferee Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:23pm

I say a 3 now after that last angle.

JugglingReferee Sun Mar 27, 2005 07:24pm

Yup - great officiating.

God, I love this game.

There is NOTHING like March Madness.

I agree it still looks like a 2 to me

The beauty of instant replay. Us HS guys don't get that benefit. I think, like BZ, I would have called that a 2 but I definitely would have gotten together with the C across the court because he also had an eye right on it.

Looked to me like he's on the line and cocks his foot as he jumps and it created a gap, but I still think it's a 2.

The ref in the picture clearly had a great look and called it 3. I'm with him (now that they've ruled!)

Just caught the "enhanced" view....looks like a 3....

If I'm reffing this game, I donate my game fee to the homeless.

There is no way that earning money for this assignment is even close to being in the same ballpark as the practice field for the love of this game.

We talk about what separates a good official from a great official.

I think that games like this separate the great officials from the legendary officials.

I'll stop being emotional now.

As the shot went in, I said to myself (and yelled to my wife...:P) that it was a 2. The super-up close replay APPEARED to show a three, but it was still so close!!!

A couple of things here:

1) The official went up with the 3 signal right away on the attempt.

2) If you can't decide one way or the other with replay, leave the call as is.

In the end, I think they did everything 100% correct. Well done.

I thought it was a three the entire time, still do. Very close though.
