Did anyone else think that Sheldon Williams did nothing but jump straight up in the air on the play that was called his 5th?
I believe that way too many defenders are penalized for this.

I'm anti-Duke, but I thought the kid got a bad break.

Coach K, was also upset that he wasn't granted a TO after Duke scored on the prior trip. I think he wanted to sub Williams out because he had four fouls and do the offense/defense sub routine.

I couldn't tell. He did jump up. They never showed a really good angle. But he should know that when he jumps up that makes him vunerable for that being called in that situation.

Peace

If he hasn't established LGP, does it matter whether or not he jumped straight up?

Coach K never asked for the TO until the MSU player had the ball for the throw-in, IIRR. Good call to ignore his request.

I'm a Dook hater, but FWIW, I thought Williams was vertical as well, and I wouldn't have called a foul there.
