The CIS is Canada'a NC2A. The final is on right now.
Congrats to officials Guy Cipriani, Steve Foxcroft, and Mike Thomson for being selected to work the game. |
Seems like those three do the final every year - a big statement about their experience and ability...
Go Concordia! |
At least Cip and Foxy anyways. I heard that Cip is retiring after this year.
Hasn't he done like 22 straight CIS finals? |
One guy has done 22 consecutive Canadian NCAA finals? That doesn't say much for the depth of talent in the officiating pool up there...
|
Don't knock Cip, he's the best official in Canada, no question about it, and he's also a member of my local association, so is Foxy. 3 guys from my association were selected to work the tournament and 2 of them do the final. Says a lot about the officials where I come from. :D
Foxy and Mike Thomson are both FIBA certified refs, and Mike was selected to officiate in Athens last summer. Congrats guys. It's too bad that I'm stuck on a train right now, because I'd really like to watch this game. [Edited by ref18 on Mar 20th, 2005 at 05:32 PM] |
Now that the game is surely over could someone post who won??
I was surfing at the CIS site, and it isn't there yet. I'm just curious who won the game. Thanks |
Carleton by 20.
|
That sucks, last years game was pretty good, I think it was just 3 or 4 points that StFX lost by. A good game.
|
Aren't you on a train right now?
Ya gotta love wireless... |

Oshawa.
So you're near Cobourg or Port Hope then. |
Cobourg eh, maybe I should wave at Bruce as we pass by LOL :D
|
Wave at the Raptors as you pass TO - they dethroned King James in his first 50-point game.
|
If they're gonna provide internet they should at least give full internet, it won't let me log onto my IM :(
|
I was wondering...
