Generally speaking, answers which are less than 1/20th the length of the original post are reserved for me.

I can't sleep tonight, maybe I could work up a four or five paragraph response to Chuck's play.

MTD, Sr.

Hang on. We'll be right over to sing lullabies under your bedroom window.

If there is less than three feet of clearance, then there should be a dotted, marked line on the court for inbounding. If there was in this instance, or if there should have been, and A1 was on the outside of this line, then you could make a case that he was really OOB at the time.

The dotted line wouldn't apply at this time because the ball was already inbounded and had crossed that temporary barrier. So we would have reverted to using the normal OOB line.

At least that is how I read Chuck's original play. B1 is inbounds in the frontcourt and throws an errant pass which is heading OOB.

That wasn't my point. I was saying that if there wasn't at least three feet of clearance on the sideline, you shouldn't penalize a player in that situation for being on the court walking if they are within three feet of the barrier. My reasoning is that we agree three feet of clearance is proper for the playing of the game.
