Anybody see Ala St vs Ala A&M? One of the officials is a woman. Don't know who she is, but she gets a big "Attagirl!" for doing the final of a men's D1 conference!

Didn't see the game, but that is pretty cool.

That is the same conference that had a Women work the championship game about 3 years ago. She ended up in the NCAA Tournament (which I believe is automatic when you work a conference championship game) and worked one game. I cannot remember her name, but I will try to find out.

Peace

Yes I did, and, she was very professional. They could have used her on the crew that did the Duke/GT ACC Championship game.

According to this her name must be Pat Evans, which by concidence is also the name of my aunt and God-mother.

I guess I'll give her a call ask how the game went.

You wouldn't be referring to the call that sent Reddick to the line with less than 5 seconds remaining, would ya?

I did not see the game, but the lady official who has been from the SWAC before was Melanie Davis, which could be the Davis in the box score. It would not be the first time that an official was misidentified in a box score.

That be the one!

Officials: Cedric Jordan, Mark Davis, Pat Evans

I watched a couple of highlights of this game closely, looking for my friend Shedrick Jordan, who I saw, and I also noticed Melanie. I didn't know who the other guy I was looking at was, but it was not Evans, so it seems that the miss on the boxscore was Pat Evans for Melanie Davis.

Melanie was an instructor at a camp I went to last summer. Immediately upon meeting her I was disabused of any disbelief I might have had that she could manage a game at the level of the men's DI NCAAs. She's top-notch.

More on the ACC Final

Sure, Jack was hit unfairly with that last one. But let's take a little wider-angled look at the game:
