I know this has been answered on here sometime this season, but I couldn't find it. I know a dribbling player has to have both feet and ball over mid-court line to establish front court position. But what about a player who is straddling the mid-court line and has picked up his dribble.
If he picks up his foot that is in the backcourt does he now have front court status?
If he then puts it back down in the backcourt is it a backcourt violation?
I have heard the term used "you are where you were, until you get where your going", does that apply here?
As a non-dribbler does he have backcourt status until both feet reach the frontcourt?
