Officiating didn't make the list, but a Bob Huddleston of Bay City, Michigan wrote in to add his two cents (page 2C of today's USA Today):

"Doesn't pay: Try being a high school sports official who has to drive four hours to get to the event and then differentiate between high school, NCAA and pro rules all while dealing with a hostile crowd. And all for $45."

If they were writing the article at the time John Chaney decided to do that stupid goon thing, being one of his assistant coaches would have been one of the worse jobs in sports!
