Today at school one of the teachers asked me about this and it got me thinking.

A1 has the ball, B2 traps him in a corner. A2 comes and pushed B2 out of the way.

Is this:

A) Player Control foul
B) A pushing foul on A2
C) Block on B2
D) other

He said that at the game they called a block on B2. I told him I would ask.

Based on your description, it could only be B (a push on A2). But perhaps you just described it really badly. I don't get why there would even be a question.

He was just wondering because B2 was just standing their garding A1 when A2 pushed him out the way. They had a foul on b2.

Perhaps the teacher didn't see the whole play. Another biased fan.

HUH???? They had a foul on B2 for getting pushed? That makes no sense unless they called a foul on B2 against A1 before he got pushed by A2 (wow... I just gave myself a headache)

As you described it, the previous answer is right. There can't be a PC foul on A2 cuz he did not have possession of the ball. None of the other options fit.

Maybe it was those "bad" refs who do all those IM games. :p

A1 (with the ball) is the only player that can have a PC foul called against him / her so, since it was not A1 causing the foul it is simply a common foul called against A2 for pushing B2. If B2 was called for a foul against A1 because B2 was pushed into A1 then someone blew it.

Could have been the "incompetent" refs that HotLink went on and on about in the other thread.

Well, let's see. Who was the teacher rooting for? :D

I think that will answer the question.
