Youth Basketball Question...

If player A saves ball from going out of bounds then comes back in bounds with both feet can he/she be the first to touch the ball?

They don't need both feet, just one in and none out.

I thought that player A could not be the first to touch the ball.

I'm not a trained ref...

What if you are dribbling the ball loose the ball all by yourself, save it from going out of bounds, then come back in and take pos. of ball. Would this not be a travel or pass to yourself?

It would depend on how they saved it.

If you are talking about an interrupted dribble without control BEFORE going OOB than the player may come back in and continue dribbling or gather the ball, but not dribble a second time.

If they gathered the ball during this save attempt, they ended their dribble, so they cannot be the first to touch the "pass" or it is becomes an illegal dribble.
