Have my first correctable error:

Team A is fouled and we give 1-1 miss first. Team B rebounds and goes into front court. While ball is in possesion of Team B, scorer gets my attention & said it should of been 2 shots. I blow whistle and we give Team A one more shots with lane cleared. Shot is missed and we then give Team B ball back at point of interruption. Correct procedure or should we of shot 2nd shot & play from there...... put time back on??

Ok, I have a question here.

At what point does this situation become "uncorrectable"?

Thank you.

2-8-10 Art 2

Art 1 contains this specific error.

In order to correct any of the officials' errors listed in Art 1, such error must be recognized by an offical during the first dead ball after the clock has properly started...

Don't forget that the ball becomes dead after a made basket. Had the exact same situation occur a couple weeks ago and after 4 trips up and down the floor, we finally had a dead ball.
