Team A has ball for throw in on side lines. Are they permitted to inbound the ball to the back-court? If so, what are the limitations to this action. Does A1 have to be within a certain distance of the half court line to be permitted to do this? Also, could A1 inbound the ball from team A's baseline into the backcourt without a violation?

Thanks in advance

ANY throw in can go "backcourt" without violation...there is no "backcourt" violation on a throw in.

And according to thee xbear, y'all is spelled yall. However, in my neck of the woods, we spelled it ya'll.

Around here, we spell it, "You guys."

Goonies wouldn't have been the same if they were screaming, "Hey y'all!"

No team control on throw in and therefore no back court violation. Easiest way to remember this. Also keep in mind this exception on throw in only: A1 throws in to A2 by dividing line A2 in front court jumps and lands in back court this is not a back court violation on the throw in ONLY.

Q) Do you know the plural for y'all?

A) All y'all!

I love that one.

bmiller Wed Feb 09, 2005 03:21pm

actually, according to Merriam Webster, y'all is the variant of you-all, ya'll is not found in the dictionary.

touche

You don't touche yourself. You "touche" when you are acknowledging that the other guy just got you.

This would the equivalent of Kelso (70s Show) making some sarcastic comment at someone else, and then himself yelling, "Oo, BURN!"

I think the correct spelling is "youse".
