I have been asked to organize training sessions for my association this summer. I am looking to develop an association wide manual for the training of new officials and best practices for all officials in the organization (basic floor mechanics, procedures to be used by all of our officials, and current philosophies in officiating).Do any of your high school or college associations have materials as I have described ?
Any printed training materials or web pages would be appreciated. |

Check out BCBOA.org. Their 2-person manual has some good points that you may be able to reapply in putting together a training program. Also, you might want to contact Tim Edwards, he is our training officer (SOWEGA/ Albany GA)and he may have some information or outlines that you can use. Send me an email with your email address and I can forward his email to you.

Peachstate,
You have a valuable resource somewhere near you - Ray McClure. Contact him at . He has a program called Five Star that's pretty good. Mulk

Andre, were you a counselor/evaluator at Albany State camp this past June?
TravelinMan: I was indeed a clinician at the Albany State Camp last year. Peach State: I must agree with Mulkey, I have attended Ray McClure's training session and it is very good class that breaks down the rules for clear understanding.
