Trail has handed ball to inbounder in front of Blue bench. Horn sounds and White sub comes onto floor. Trailblows whistle, White player in game leaves, sub takes his spot on defense. Officials confer, then call player back from bench to go back in for the sub that came in. Inbounding commenced, sub waited till next dead ball. This was a case where everyone froze at horn, and sub was onto floor like right now. Handled properly, or since ball was live ........illegal sub and T given?

Now I don't really care what the rules say here, I'm not giving a T. I'm telling the sub to get back to the table, and at the next dead ball confering with the timer over when subs are no longer allowed in.

I agree... send the kid back to the bench and bring the original player out.

Failing to offer a penalty opens the door to coaches doing this mechanic knowing it won't be penalized.
