Yes, we have that backcourt situation happen at least twice a week here. We've educated the coaches about it, and as such, they don't complain. The fans on the other hand, do.
Another thing we have problem with is three seconds. Players will be in the lane rebounding, laying up, rebounding, going up and down for hours. And you'll hear fans (and the occasional coach) going "Three seconds! Three seconds! C'mon! Three seconds! Can you count?! Are you blind?" at which point I turn and say "No, but you're dumb!" |
Someday...when I'm elected king, I'm going to have fans take a simple, 3 question test to be able to stay and watch the ballgame.
1. What is the three second rule? 2. What is the over-and-back violation? 3. What is the over-the-back rule? Even if they only get one answer correct, they get to stay. If they don't get any correct, they still don't get their admission back. (That way the schools don't lose out on their "gate".) Of course, sometimes all we can do is shake our heads and smile. |
