During one of the college games I was at ealier this week, Team B was called for a foul. While I was impressed that Coach B was civil with the official when discussing the call, his use of the word "b---s--t" was hard to miss. I was actually waiting for the T, but there never was one.
I may not be an official, but if a college coach used that word to me and it didn't result in the tech-o-matic ![]() This is more an observation than anything, but it does have me wonder if there are times where a curse word doesn't get whacked.

A good acquaintance of mine does D-1 mens bball and we invited him to one of our HS association meetings to give a talk. One of things he stressed in his presentation was to NOT let the way college officials put up with roaming and screaming coaches filter down into the high school game.
He talked about how much money is involved at the D-1 level and how coaches are given way more leeway than high school coaches. He was almost apologetic about how much they put up with from college coaches. He said we should expect way more sportsmanship in HS games than what we see on college TV games. Amen to that. Z |
