Mid second quarter. A up by 20 or so, 6 fouls on B, 1 on A. You are trail, 2 whistle. A1 has the ball and is trapped by B1 & B2 about 5 feet off the baseline and 5 feet inside the 3 pt line in the lead's primary. B1 reaches in and fouls A1 causing a turnover. Your partner at lead has no whistle. You:

1. Blow the whistle
2. Shrug & run downcourt.

How about:
3. Ask yourself why you are watching the lead's primary.

In principle I agree Lead shouldn't be looking there but, if it's an obvious blatant no doubt about it foul kicked by your partner witnessed by your assignment chairman sitting in the stands wondering why it wasn't called shouldn't you
call it? Not critisizing you just asking because I wonder about this as well.

Unless it's one of those "blood and guts" or "for God and Country" type of calls, I'm leaving it alone...if it makes me say "OH MY GOD!!!", then I'll go get it...

How bad was the foul? Could the old lady with coke-bottled glasses see it in the upper row? If not, I probably go #2. Coach says, "How could you miss that foul?" Me, "Sorry, coach, I didn't see it. I look harder next time. Your kids are playing great! Keep it up!"

Not ticky tack and not a punch to the face but something in between that should be called if seen. Does it depend upon the situation? If it does why should it? Personally I have done it and I have left it alone.

Probably depends on who I'm working with. If I've got a high school kid reffing his third game ever (had this kid last night), I'm more likely to get this.
