sorry for the same question again. but, i just want to double check myself. in my game tonight, my L and partner is T. OB play on the side in A's FC. A1 jumps in the air and catches the ball and lands in BC. my partner calls over and back. at half, we discuss it. and i told him i think that is NOT over and back. because the ball never had FC status.

so, is it over and back? or no violation?

Well, it's not a violation but it's not because it didn't have FC status. It's because the rule says that this particular case is not a violation (used to be listed as an exception but has been integrated into the main part of the rule now).

9-9-3 says that this is ok.
