There's a local lodge that's starting a Men's 3 on 3 league and they're willing to pay pretty well for me to officiate. I've already discussed how I'll be supported if and when T's need to be issued. I envision working the baseline as lead the whole time but I'm interested in any tips from those who have worked these type games before.

My only reffing of 3-on-3 tournaments is volunteering for a Boys and Girls club fundraiser in my hometown. I was more comfortable working from "out top" (like trail in a 2-person game) than as lead. You'll figure out what works best for you.

i've played in a lot and it really depends on who is playing..if you got older guys that like to post up a lot and get rough underneath, then you might want to be the lead...if you have some younger kids that will do a lot more dribbling and shooting threes and one on one stuff, then maybe better as trail....i think it just depends on the players playing...move around and see which way you like it better...sure would be easier to see shooters getting fouled or not from the trail... just my opinion... all i know is the 3 on 3's i've played in get pretty rough...but if it's good money...it's worth it..
