GJV tourney, 3rd place game; high dribble bounces up above the girls shoulder, but the player does not chase it and waits for it to come back down, ball bounces and she continues with her dribble. Fan says: "does the Ref really not see it or is he blind"?

The funny thing is they see this called in some junior level YMCA or AAU league game by a ref with no experience and then assume he was correct. So when a ref who knows the rules doesn't blow his whistle, he's the blind or stupid one. <<shrug>>

At the Honigs in my city, they've got a pice of paper on the wall that says,

"Referee's Eye Test"

Below it is a big E

Underneath that is says, "If you can read that you can referee" :D
