Midway into my second season and I'm finally feeling at ease on the court. It's amazing how much more of the play I can see now, and how quickly I can process everything.

I now know what is meant by making the calls as if by reflex. I have often made the signal without replaying the action in my mind. Calls just seem to happen, rather than be thought about.

It is so much more fun now that I'm getting it together, but for some reason I still have half the fans shouting at me. Just now they complain about what I called, rather than what I let pass.

There you go. Fans will hollar at you either way so ignore them.

But I love to hear them hollar. It lets me know they are paying attention. Nothing quite like a B/C call near the end of a close game.

What if we could hollar back? Everytime the hollar for a call we could hollar at them "You need to read the rule book" or "Boo you dont know what your talking about". Wouldent that be fun.

Getting into an argument about basketball rules with your average fan is about as entertaining as playing basketball with your average 4th grader. There is no great thrill in victory over somebody so woefully ill-equiped to meet the challenge. *yawn*

I bet some of us could give that 4th grader a good game!
