My name is Luther P, and I'm a compulsive official.

I have PLENTY of work to do but I can't get off this website. Someone please help or I'm going to get fired.

Hello LUTHER!

Welcome to OA (Detroit Chapter), I feel your pain.

Can you please send me a job application and a description of duties for your position? I too could be hitting the pavement and I might like your job (can I get a reference from you).

Darn, I forgot I am self-employed!

Well I guess I'll have to fire myself, again. That'll be the fifth time this year!

Does OA have similar steps to Whistles Anonymous?

I don't believe there is any such organization, just like there's no Chocaholics Anonymous. This is one addiction nobody wants to get over!

We usually at least discuss having meetings in late March and early April when the only feed for the jones is whatever NCAA is on TV. That's when the monkey gets the noisiest.

Bad monkey!

Do you spank your monkey or the monkeys of others?

Heck - I have a final exam starting in 75 minutes, but I'm on here.

Of course, 2 800+ posts will do that to you.

Here's a website with a helpful 12 stepper for the more prolix (longwinded) members here......
