As far as I know, there are no officials from Guelph, ON posting here, and since I'm only 30 minutes away, I will post.

A basketball player from north of Guelph, Orangeville, has lost his life while trying a pre-game dunk.

I'm sure someone will post more information. All I've learned is that CPR was performed by school administrators and an official. I've also been told that officials were in the officials' change room prior to the 15-minute mark before the scheduled start time.

May God guide him as he rests in peace.

Wow! I'm sorry and shocked to hear that news. Did he lose his balance and fall and hit his head? Very sad.
