With a two person crew; when the referee goes to meet with the coaches during pregame, does the Umpire:

a. Go with him immediately
or
b. Wait untill the referee is done and then go introduces him/herself to the coaches.

Both go to meet the coaches -

15:00 – On court
12:00 – Captains meeting
Following captains meeting R to table
1:30 – Greet coaches

The only time you dont go is when the R is pre-gaming the table.

That's what I thought, but I had a partner Saturday who hesitated and said he thought he had read it somewhere that the U waits untill the R is done.

I can't find it in our mechanics manual, so thought i would ask

We've been instructed as follows;

15:00 on court
11:00 R checks book to allow coach a chance to fix if problem. Greet coaches if both are available.
4:00 Capt Mtg, coaches are present so here's another chance to greet coaches.

We go and do our pregame at about 11 minutes left, so they have a chance to change any mistakes before the ten minute left mark has arrived.
