Leather Luster on Basketball Shoes

Its time to order some new shoes. Im debating what direction to go, nike air down lows with Leather Luster or patent leather.

Does or has anyone used Leather Luster on there basketball shoes? If so how did it holdup? Any problems with it cracking? How does it look compared to the patent leather shoes?
