hello. easy one. came up tonight. high school boys game. ball in forecourt. shot clock winding down. seven seconds. jump ball. possession arrow in effect. ball re-awarded to offense. out of bounds, baseline. do you reset the shot clock to 35 seconds? or, does it stay at seven seconds? thanks. (by the way, ref tonight had the shot clock reset at 35)

Without reading anything else into the post...i would say the the officials might have made a mistake.
Under NCAA rules if the offensive team retains the ball back after via the possession arrow the shot clock shall remain where its at.(no reset)Stay at 7 seconds. keep smiling SH |
Agreed. No reset.

clarification

But I would say so. |
In California for HS, if the same team retains possession, then no reset and keep it at 7 seconds.
