I don't think excessive contact needs to be present, or needs to be used as a measuring stick in this case.

I don't think that excessive contact "needs" to be present in the described case; I just meant to point out that where excessive contact is created (as it *may* be in situations like that described), that is sufficient to call a foul "intentional."

Page 79 in the Simplified & Illustrated book has a cartoon drawing of this type of play. It is called flagrant there.
