3 bench players leave the confines of the bench when a fight breaks out, or MAY break out. Now these three players are bench personell and any Flagrant techinical fouls are charged indirectly to the head coach corret? Now if this is correct do you have 1 indirect T or 3 and the coach is ejected ive asked sevreal people but for some reason cant get a clear answer.

If they DO NOT participate in the fight, the coach gets 1 indirect. (Even for all 3)

If one, two, or three DO participate in the fight, the coach gets one, two, or three indirects...one indirect for each participating.

So, if three participate, the coach gets three indirects, and gets to watch the rest of the game on ESPN.

Re-Read Penalty for 10-4-4

and editorial on Page 68. Our state, during the mandatory sports meeting, emphatically stressed that the "bench" personnel would also be treated as participants and be given ejections (via flagarant T's).

In the original poster's scenario, the Head Coach would NOT be leaving with his players, because "...only one technical foul penalty is administered regardless of the mumber of offenders."

Hope this helps.

Well, since you know that these people are correctly termed bench personnel (4-34), how 'bout you stop refering to them as bench "players" as the NFHS also incorrectly does in their comments on the revisions on page 72.
