So the NBA has 5 rookie officials this season...anyone know who retired/got canned, or is the staff just that much larger ?

Expansion Teams
 
I believe due to the expansion of the league they needed additional refs.

A friend of mine knows one of the new refs. He called games with him down here in Atlanta.

About a year ago they had an ad on monster.
they wanted someone who lived in or near NYC.
anyone know why they want someone there? if it was for logistics, it seems like as long as the candidate is near a big airport they can get anywhere in the country. maybe it was for training purposes..??

I think I saw a PBS special about the NC bobcat and tar heels having to share the same areas and how that is wreaking havoc on the coastal environment...but then again, maybe it was all those brown-pops I had that night...
