Shooting Foul

Hello,

Newbie here will be taking the test in Colorado on Monday.

Question:

A-1' try is in flight when A-2 fould B-2. Ball enters basket. Team B, not in bonus, official allows team B to run the endline during throw-in. Is the official correct.

Answer: Yes.

I thought if team A fouled on a team A try, ball is dead, no basket, and team B is awarded throw-in at spot of foul.
