The tableside mechanic is only for 3 Person. You cannot guarantee that possiblity in a 2 Person system.

This directive is only for three man. In two man you just switch. In two man there is no official where the tableside official would be in three man during a shooting foul.

Not sure how it could apply to 2 Person, you do not go to just one side of the table on foul calling in a 2 Person season. Major Officials Manual Change (NOTE: The NFHS Officials Manual is not being edited this year; however, the Basketball Rules Committee made the following change, which will be reflected in the 2005-07 edition.) The foul calling official in a three-person crew will go tableside after calling the foul to enhance communication with coaches and the scorerÂ’s table. Peace

I believe you actually are requesting a reference that says that the tableside mechanics actually only applies to 3-person right? Here's a link to where it's addressed on the NFHS website - go to the very bottom where it says, "Major Officials Manual Change." http://www.nfhs.org/scriptcontent/va...on&head=BT.cfm Never mind, I see that Rut beat me to it. My link just says what he posted. Z |
