Out of Bounds??

Player A1 is racing for a loose ball that is heading for the sideline. While legally in-bounds, A1 is able to tap the ball back into the center of the court. A1's momentum carries her out-of-bounds but she returns in-bounds and is the first to touch the loose ball again. Legal?? I believe so, but I can't find a reference in the book.
