I run a little church league, and I have tried in the past to keep all players informed through an email list.

My problem is that I use Hotmail, and it is nearly impossible to efficiently maintain or use an email list(it is limited to 50 addresses, and you can't cut and paste into it.)

Does anyone know of a free web resourse that could help me manage an email list of about 120 names. I realize they may just not exist because of a likelyhood that weasles would use them to spam, but I thought I would ask. I am sure there are good programs out there for a charge, but I have literally no budget, I and all others volunteer, so we don't have any cash at all.

Any suggestions?

While I am on the topic, any suggestions for free websites to post results and schedules. I tried MSN Groups, and it was easy to use, and a nice resource, but to be honest, the banner adds were inappropriate for a church league, so I had to abandon that plan. Any other ideas.

I appologize to any who consider this "Off Topic", but I thought it was a legit question for this group.

Don't know if it will work for your purposes but try myfamily.com

It's free and provides alot of services. I believe you can add as many members as you like.

Another option would be yahoogroups. Essentially, it allows you to create a discussion group that you can email. You can also post updates on a website. They do have banner ads, however, and you would have to judge the appropriateness for your group. I see a lot of credit card ads today; but I normally don't pay much attention to them.

try freeservers.com but the one you really may want to try is bravenet.com. They have freewebhosting, and nifty liitle tools like email list management, forums, etc. it is add supported.... but you can eliminate the adds for about 5 bucks a month.

The other thing yu can do if you have an always on internet connection (DSL or cable) is think about setting up something like Personal Weberver on your machine and then use no-ip.com to redirect (this works even if you dont have a static IP address)

If you use hotmail, you can send and/or receive email using Outlook Express (but not Outlook).

Use it's built in address book and you've got your addresses list. It can do groups and individuals.

You can even import the addresses from other mailers or from an Excel file saved as a .csv (Comman seperated values).

If you've got them in a spreadsheet already, you only need to know the format. Add 1 or 2 individuals directly then export them to a new .csv. Adjust your existing spreadsheet to match then import.
