My prayers go out to all of the good people that died on 9/11 and their surviving families. Please remember a good friend of mine that died on that dreadful day - Michael Diaz-Piedra. I grew up in Queens and LI and worked in NYC for 20 years. I worked with Mike at Blue Cross for 10 of those years.

Was at the Bills/Jags game yesterday and I gotta tell ya 'Mericans: you can really put on a show.

The Color Guard introduced the flags and marched across the field. Two lines into the SSB, it felt like there were 60,000 people singing. I was one of them. Then when the planes flew overhead I started to get goosebumps. Have you ever heard 80,000 cheer in unison? I have.

Then I see this Eagle 100+ yards away, and it flies in to trainer so gracefully, yet powerfully. Carving it's path through the wind to other side of the field - every spectator got a nice glimpse of the bird. And the look on it's face as it lands. Damn. And lemme tell ya: there was not one person not cheering. 82,000 in total.

May the victims of September 11th Rest in Peace.
