Had an intentional foul on a layup last week. The layup went in so partner only gave shooter one free throw. I thought all intentional fouls were two free throws (unless on a missed three-pointer). Looking for clarification. Is the rule the same in NC2A?

Thanks for help.

Both NFHS and NCAA agree. All intentional fouls are two free throws unless on a missed three-pointer.

Well, that didn't last long.

Randy, I can see you know the rules. Did you mention your point of view to your partner? I know you wouldn't want your partner to look bad, but perhaps it could have been corrected without too much trouble. Let's say before the free throw(s) are taken you could have conferenced with your partner and corrected it then. Hope it didn't affect the outcome of the game.

Oh, and by the way, who is playing at this time of year?

Jack,

I tried to conference with him but he was talking/debating with the player who committed the foul. We were calling an adult league in LaGrange. We have two days a week and another group has the other two days. It's very interesting to hear the comparisons between the two groups.

Randy,

I will ask the question again. Who is playing at this time of year?

Sounds like you have your hands full. Hope it isn't like that every week. In any event, good way to get in shape for the real season.

Sorry, didn't know anyone but Jack wanted to know so I was using local references he understands.

The Park and Rec of LaGrange, GA holds an adult league this time of year. Many of the players are former high school players. Even though they only pay for two man, we work three man because several of our people got picked up either JUCO or Division I/II women's. We use these games to work on our games.
