How do you administer the case where a team is charged with a technical foul prior to the game starting (e.g. for dunking while officials have court jurisdiction).

What is the proper signal? When is it given? What about the AP arrow?

No signal needed. Inform the player, the coaches and the scorer.

Set the arrow when the ball is at the disposal of the thrower-in (after the two shots).

And the coach now has an indirect T and loses the coach's box.
