A player or bench for counting down the wrong time, i.e. 5...4...3, when the real time is 10...9...8 when the other team has the ball?

Curious to see if any one would call a T in this situation.

Maybe 6th grade girls. Maybe.
Maybe if the team with the ball was 30 points behind. Maybe.
Maybe if the naughty team had been borderline earlier in the game.
Or some combination of the above.

I don't think I would T that, unless for some reason my partner had already warned them not to.

I would certainly "T", if the counting team was holding their hands in front of the opponents' eyes, preventing the opponents from knowing the correct time.

I'll add some more to the stuation.

The scoreboard is located on the endline BEHIND the team with the ball, and that is the only scoreboard. What about now?

I agree that it's "bush".
I would have to be there to see if it was "unsporting" enough to penalize.

Unsporting fouls, coach ejections are most rare U.P. here.

What I've seen more often is a team counting down "..10...9..8..." when there's 30 or 45 seconds left. Usually they think they're cute, but the other team players just ignore them and they end up looking foolish. Then they don't try it again later.

Let's say a kid puts up a 30 footer at 9 seconds, when the bench is counting 2...1?
